The Juice's thoughts:
You were a proficient prognosticator in Week 1. I’m not ready to write off the Vikings yet, but the Jets O was horrendous, SD was inept, and Dallas has every problem you thought they’d have. I still don’t like KC, but I have to admit they’re AFC West contenders, and Detroit looks improved for sure. Games I’m most looking forward to in Week 2 (along with my picks):
Pitt at Tenn (TN by 10)
Miami at Minn (MN by 14)
Hou at Wash (Hous by 3)
NE at Jets (NE by 3)
Giants at Colts (IND by 14)
I think we’re seeing some changes, but IND, NE, and MN are still the real deal. We’ll know soon!
Doctor Psych's response:
Those are some excellent selections.
Pitt @ Tenn is nice because someone foes 2-0 and gets a lot of early season momentum. Clearly more important for Tenn since they are at home and Pitt is playing with Dixon. I agree with your assessment.
Miami @ Minn- everything points to Minn bouncing back, but I just have sneaking suspicion about Miami. For some reason this game has stuck with me first I first saw it.
Houston @ Washington- again one team goes 2-0 and gets a lot of momentum. I wouldn't argue with your Houston pick.
NE @ Jets- my personal favorite of the week. Brady and Belicheck hate the Jets and I think they go down there and kick them around a little bit. NE gets an early 2 game lead on the Jets, while the Jets go 0-2 at home.
Giants @ Colts- Two years ago the Giants D-line would have shredded the Colts O-line like wrapping paper, but I don't think they can anymore. This one means more to P Manning and to Indy so I think they win but not by 14.
I'm also interested in Chicago @ Dallas. Must win game for the Cowboys or else full panic mode sets in. It should be fun to watch Cutler fling it all over the field against the 'Boys.
